Nominations for Standing Committee

CLERICAL MEMBER – Elect 1

The Rev. Andrew Bradley is Rector of Good Shepherd, Brownwood, and is a member of Executive Council of the Diocese. He has served on the Camp Crucis Board of Managers and as a Conference Director. He is involved in numerous local ministries including serving on the board of the Brownwood Chapter of the American Red Cross, the NOAH Project for Battered Spouses,Vice President of the Kiwanis of Brownwood and Vice President of the Brownwood Community Concerts.

Dean Ryan S. Reed is the Rector and Dean of St. Vincent's Cathedral in Bedford, formerly the Vicar at Ascension/ St. Mark's, Wise County. At the Diocesan level, Dean Reed has served on the Executive Council, Finance Committee, Commission on Ministry for the Laity, Christian Education Commission, Hispanic Affairs Committee, as Armed Forces Representative, and on the Board of the Anglican School of Theology. Dean Reed served as Alternate Deputy to General Convention in 2000. His Civic and Business positions include serving on the Board of Directors of the Decatur Lions Club and Cross Timbers A&M Club, volunteer Chaplain at Wise Regional Medical Center and as former Army National Guard Chaplain.

LAY MEMBER — Elect 1

Kay Stromberg a member of St. Stephen's, Hurst, for the past 14 years, is a Lay Eucharistic Minister, an Acolyte, a Little Rock Scripture Studies Facilitator and is a Delegate to the Diocesan Convention. She is a member of the Diocesan Standing Committee, on the Commission on Ministry for Laity, an instructor for Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts workshops, a Network Partner on the World Mission Committee and was an Alternate to the General Convention in 2000. Kay was a missionary with The Youth on Mission to Mexico in 2001 and 2002.She is a former Senior Warden at St. Stephens, was Rector of the Mid-Cities Ultrea and a member of the Executive Council and the Diocesan Evangelism Committee.

Chet Szydlowski, a member of St. Stephen's, Hurst, and is currently completing a term on the Ecclesiastical Trial Court. He was previously a member of St. Vincent's Cathedral in Bedford where he served on the vestry and as junior warden.He founded St. Vincent's chapter of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, coordinated the Diocese's chapter, and currently serves as the Province VII President of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew National Council.

Liz Young is a member of St. Andrew's, Grand Prairie, where she has served on the Audit Committee, as a Youth Group Leader, Church School Teacher, and Choir Member. On a Diocesan level Liz has served as a member of the Standing Committee and as Alternate Deputy to General Convention in SW Florida. In the Fort Worth Diocese she has served on Executive Council, Communications Committee, and as Sexual Abuse Prevention Trainer. Her Civic activities include serving on the Board of Brighter Tomorrows Womens Shelter, as a member of Toastmaster CTM, and she has received the National Quality Achievement Award.

Nominations for Ecclesiastical Trial Court

CLERICAL MEMBER – Elect 1

The Rev. Canon Billie Boyd served as Rector of St. Luke's, Mineral Wells, from 1972 to 1983. He served as the Canon to the Ordinary from 1983 to 1989 when he retired. Canon Boyd then served the Diocese as the Canon for Business Administration until last year.

The Rev. Robert Landback is the Rector at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Wichita Falls, where he has been since May of 1996. Fr. Landback has served as Camp Crucis Chaplain and on the Clergy Committee for the Capital Fund Drive. He serves as Trustee and Chaplain of the Episcopal School of Wichita Falls.

The Very Rev. Richard McHenry has been canonically resident in the Diocese since 1983, having served on the staff of All Saints' Church, Fort Worth. He has been Rector of Holy Comforter in Cleburne since 1991. He is currently Dean of the Southern Deanery and is a member of the Diocesan World Mission Committee.

Nominations for Clerical Trustee to the University of the South

CLERICAL MEMBER — Elect 1

The Rev. Tommy Bye has served as Rector of St. Luke's-in-the-Meadow, Fort Worth, since 1997 and was on the staff of St. Vincent's Cathedral Church, Bedford, beginning in 1994. He was a clerical member of the Secretariat of the diocese for two years with further renewal ministry in Cursillo, Happening, and Kiros. He has been chairman of the diocesan Committee on Alcohol and Drug Abuse since 1995 and currently serves on Billy Graham's General Committee for the Metroplex Mission. Fr. Bye is a graduate of the Sewanee Military Academy, a preparatory school of the University of the South until 1978, and he continues to be active in alumni affairs at St. Andrew's-Sewanee.

The Rev. Sergio Diaz was Rector of Ascension in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico before coming to Fort Worth. He is currently serving as Hispanic Missioner at San Miguel, Richland Hills, Santa Anna, Fort Worth and Ascension/San Marcos, Wise County. Fr. Diaz is a member of the Mission Committee, a Spiritual Director for Cursillo and a Spiritual Advisor for Alpha. He also serves on the Committee for Hispanic Affairs in Province VII.

Nominations for Alternate Deputy to General Convention

CLERICAL MEMBER —Elect 4

The Rev. Bryant Bechtold has served parishes in the Dioceses of Atlanta, Central Florida, and Utah prior to receiving a call to become Vicar of Christ the King, Fort Worth, in September 1997. In 2000, having re-established Christ the King to parish status, he was elected and continues to serve as Rector. Fr. Bechtold currently serves on the Worship Commission, Sexual Misconduct Response Team, Commission on Ministry for the Diaconate and has just completed a three-year term as the clergy representative to the Executive Council from the Fort Worth West Deanery.

The Rev. John Cornelius is Vicar of the Church of the Holy Cross, Burleson.

The Rev. Christopher Jambor is Assistant at All Saints', Fort Worth. He currently serves the Diocese as Co-Chair of the Christian Education Commission and is the Director of the Christian Education Resource Center of the Diocese. On the national church level he has served as a Presenter at the Province VII Christian Education Conference. Prior to entering the ministry Fr. Jambor was a physician in private practice.

The Rev. Edward Kresowaty has been the Rector at Good Shepherd, Granbury, since August 2000. He came to the Fort Worth Diocese from the Diocese of San Diego where he had served as Chair of the Liturgical Committee, MC for the Diocese, Treasurer for Clericus, member of the Committee on Admission of Missions and as the Diocesan Representative for Worship and Liturgy. Currently Fr. Kresowaty is serving on the Committee for Constitution and Canons.

The Rev. Deuel Smith is currently the Rector at St. Michael's Church in Richland Hills; before that he was the Vicar at St. John the Divine, Burkburnett, St. Stephen's, Wichita Falls, and Trinity, Henrietta. Fr. Smith was ordained by the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast in 1988 and became resident in the Diocese of Fort Worth in 1998. Fr. Smith was, for several years, a professed member of an Anglican- Catholic religious order. He is a Viet Nam Veteran, served as a Special Agent with the F.B.I., and as an executive with a Fortune 100 Company before becoming a Postulant for Holy Orders.

 

The Rev. Scott Wilson is Rector of All Saints', Weatherford.

The Rev. Scott Wooten is Vicar of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Graham; St. Thomas the Apostle, Jacksboro; and St. Peter-by-the-Lake, Possum Kingdom. Prior to this he was a Curate at All Saints', Fort Worth, and the Chaplain at All Saints' School, Fort Worth (upper school). Fr. Wooten is currently serving on the Board of Camp Crucis. He is the Vice President of the Kiwanis in Graham.

LAY MEMBER — Elect 4
Mr. Gene Dugan is a member of All Saints', Fort Worth, where he has served as Sr. Warden (3 times), Jr. Warden (3 times), and Treasurer. Currently he serves as a Lay Reader, Lay Eucharistic Minister, member of the Finance Committee and Parish Permanent Endowment Fund Committee. Mr. Dugan has served on the Commission on Ministry for the Diocese and also as Alternate Deputy to General Convention in 1997 and 2000. He retired from General Dynamics.

Mrs. Dorothy Eason is a member of Good Shepherd, Wichita Falls. She was an Alternate Lay Deputy to General Convention in 1997 and 2000 and a Delegate to the Women's Triennial in 1994. She has also been a delegate to the Province VII Synod and the ECW Provincial Meeting. She has served the diocese on the Standing Committee, Executive Council, the Women's Cabinet, as UTO Coordinator, and the Bishop's Nominating Committee. She currently represents the Northern Deanery on the Executive Council and is a member of the Commission on Ministry. In her parish Mrs. Eason has served on the Vestry (including as Senior Warden), and has held several offices in the ECW and the Christian Ed Dept. She is a Licensed Lay Minister, serving as supervisor of the LLMs at Good Shepherd, and is a member of the choir and the Handbell Choir.

Mr. Gerald Gregory is a member of St. John's, Fort Worth, where he has served as Sr. Warden, Jr. Warden, Sunday School Teacher, Chalice Bearer, Lay Reader, EYC Sponsor, and Delegate to Diocesan Convention. Mr. Gregory has also served on Executive Council, Commission on Ministry for the Laity, Lay Director for Cursillo and on the Board for the Episcopal Renewal Center for the Fort Worth and Dallas Dioceses.

Mrs. Jo Ann Patton is a member of St. Andrew's, Fort Worth, and served as an Alternate Deputy to the 2000 General Convention. She is a Trustee of the diocese, a member of the Standing Committee, and has served on the Commission on Ministry for the Priesthood since 1991.From 1995 to 1998 she was President of the Episcopal Church Women of the diocese. She served as a provincial and ECW delegate to the ECW Triennial meetings at the General Conventions of 1988, 1994, and 1997.

Mr. Cordell Swindle is a member of Ascension & St. Mark's in Wise County where he has served as Senior Warden, vestry member, Men's Club member, Senior High Sunday School teacher, Acolyte Master, Building Committee member, Stewardship Chairman, and Victory Committee member. He has also served on the Camp Crucis Board of Governors and as a diocesan delegate to General Convention. He is employed as a Security Consultant for the U.S. Treasury and Defense Departments.

Mr. Mack Wood is a member of St. Anne's, Fort Worth, where he is a chalice bearer, lay reader, choir member, acolyte master, and former Junior Warden and Senior Warden. Baptized in 1952 at All Saints, Fort Worth, he was first elected to a diocesan office in 1965, when he served on the EYC Youth Commission. He has been a delegate to the diocesan convention since 1981 and served as Alternate Deputy to the General Conventions of 1991, 1994, and 1997. Curently he serves on the Commission for Lay Ministry.
