REMARKS:

WHEREAS, at the 1998 Annual Diocesan Convention a new Assessment Formula was proposed of a half percent (1/2%) per year reduction until it reaches the biblical tithe of ten percent (10%), based on the latest year financial information available in the Parochial Report.

WHEREAS, the Parishes and Missions of the Fort Worth Diocese are supported by the giving of the people of their congregations.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the goal of the Diocese of Fort Worth is to return to the Assessment Formula reduction of one-half percent (1/2%) per year for both Parishes and Missions, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a reduction of one-half percent (1/2%) will be made in the Assessment Formula for 2006 to 11.5% for the first $50,000 and to 16.0% for $50,001 and above.
