Pre-Convention Deanery Meetings
Be sure to attend your Pre-Convention Deanery meeting! Meeting dates and locations are listed on the calendar at the top (right) of this page. Deanery meetings are open to all, but visitors will be seated separately from voting members. Clergy, convention delegates and Executive Council members have seat, voice, and vote in the pre-convention meetings held in their respective deaneries, and all are expected to attend. Visitors have neither voice nor vote unless called upon by the Dean to speak.
Openings on the Executive Council are filled by election at these October Deanery meetings. The term is for three years, beginning immediately after the Convention in November. Nominations should be submitted to the Dean at least one week prior to the day of the meeting. Plese use the Executive Council Nomination form from the Forms page. For your convenience, the form includes the names of Council members whose terms have not yet expired. Please refer to Canon 35 regarding Deaneries.
On the day of Convention
Clergy are to vest and process at the Friday Eucharist; all lay delegates are strongly encouraged to attend the service if possible.
For Saturday's plenary session, please bring your copy of the budget and assessment material, plus the Nominees page(s). Any additional printed material that you will need will be handed to you at registration. |
