Our 30th Annual Diocesan Convention will take place Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9 & 10, 2012, at St. Vincent’s Cathedral Church and School in Bedford. This year’s theme for Convention is “Lift High the Cross.”

We are pleased to announce that the Rev. V. Stanley Maneikis will preach at the Convention Eucharist, which begins at 5 p.m. Friday in the Cathedral. Clergy, please plan to vest and process in cassock, surplice, and white stole. Since this is the opening session of Convention, all clergy and delegates should be in attendance at the opening Eucharist and the dinner following Mass.

The Plenary Business Session takes place Saturday. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m., with a continental breakfast available. Morning Prayer will be said in the Cathedral at 8:30, and Bishop Iker will gavel the meeting to order at 9 a.m., again in the gym. Lunch will be served after Noonday Prayer, and the business meeting will continue as needed in the afternoon.

All Deans and Deanery Representatives to Executive Council are to conduct their own Deanery meetings. Nominations and elections for Executive Council Representation will be transacted at each Pre-Convention Deanery meeting. Nomination forms are available on the Forms and Reference page. A list of  positions to be filled is here. Each office has a three-year term. A Sub-Dean should also be chosen.
