Outreach members
St Simon’s Parish reach out to the community in many ways. Members of our church donate time, money, food items and clothing to several projects dedicated to children and fighting hunger all over the world. These are some of the ministries that serve our community:

SEARCH Food & Clothing Ministry is coordinated by Mr. Victor Holly who also serves as our special representative on the Board of SEARCH outreach center. SEARCH is a non-profit organization made up of several churches in southeast Fort Worth and serves as an outreach center for distributing money, food, and clothing to needy persons and families in our part of the city.

Thanksgiving Baskets is a speciality of St Simon’s Parish and serves to distribute complete thanksgiving food items to needy families within the community referred to us by Martin Luther King, Jr. Center. Mrs. Gwen Johnson coordinates these events during Thanksgiving time.

Christmas Toys-for-Tots, Christmas Adopt-A-Family & Easter Baskets are some of the seasonal outreach programs God has used to bless some of the needy families in our community.

Family Pathfinders is one of the state programs for enabling families to move from welfare to work, and our parish has been involved with this effort. Mrs Willa Lister is the coordinator in our parish.

Clothing Drive for Goodwill & Union Gospel Mission is one of those outreach programs our parish participate in now and again.
